As we focus our energy on education in Malawi, we also recognize that healthcare plays a crucial role in the academic success of our students. Many students miss school due to the lack of medical care and accessibility. In partnership with the Malawi Ministry of Health, Wilderness Safaris, Wolstein Family Foundation, MedWish International, and Bob Swan of Hosanna Church, HELP continues to address and rectify the health issues of Malawi through its support of the Nandumbo Health Centre.
The Nandumbo Health Centre was completed and officially opened in 2011 . It includes: dispensary, a water tower, four houses for medical staff, clean water supply and solar power. The Centre was voted best rural clinic in the Balaka District and two of its staff members were selected for employees of the year.

- Each extra year of a mother’s schooling reduces the probability of infant mortality by 5% to 10%
